Nursery Nurse/EYFS Teaching Assistant - South Shields
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, passionate and hard-working Nursery Nurse or EYFS Teaching Assistant to work with three of our partnership nurseries in South Shields. All three nurseries regularly request our high-quality Nursery Nurses and EYFS Teaching Assistants for both ad hoc and long term cover, and they are open during the school holidays.
We will accept applications from both experienced Nursery Nurses/EYFS Teaching Assistants and newly qualified practitioners who are excited to learn and develop as professionals. Successful candidates will be expected to provide learning support across a range of ages (birth-5 years) and abilities, and should aim to become a valued part of the nursery community for the duration of their stay.
Successful candidates must:
* Hold their Level 3 Nursery Nurse/Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent (e.g. Childhood Studies degree)
* Have recent and relevant experience working within an Early Years Foundation Stage setting
* Possess good behaviour management skills and the ability to build strong professional rapports with children and staff
*Have a solid understanding of assessment techniques within the EYFS e.g. Development Matters Framework
* Have a full understanding of safeguarding procedures and the responsibilities of a Nursery Nurse/EYFS Teaching Assistant
