Are you a recent graduate looking to pursue a career in teaching? The Education Network works with a number of secondary schools across the Manchester area. We have a number of opportunities to gain experience working in a secondary school setting as a Cover Supervisor or exam invigilator in a variety of secondary schools.
- Day to day and long term positions are available
- Earn up to £65 per day dependant on role and experience
- Own transport or willingness to travel via public transport required
- Paid pre-PGCE experience

These graduate roles offer the perfect introduction to the teaching environment. The positions consist of delivering a variable timetable of already planned lessons and prepared teaching tasks across classes in different year groups and abilities. Any successful candidate will need to be both adaptable and confident. By liaising with the Cover Manager and working in a valued team of support staff you will assist in meeting the demands of the cover timetable. When delivering planned lessons you will work alongside experienced Teaching Assistants and work cohesively to provide consistency in the teaching of the curriculum.
As an exam invigilator you will be required to work under the overall guidance of the Exams/Data Manager staff but you may also be expected to invigilate without supervision.
In order to apply for these roles we require the following:
" A degree in any subject along with 5 GCSEs (A*-C)
" At least six months verifiable experience of working with children or young adults
" An Enhanced DBS check registered on the DBS Update Service or be willing to undertake a DBS check (this will need to be paid for by the candidate)
" Initiative, enthusiasm and a desire to help children succeed
" Behaviour management skills
" Flexibility and access to a car or good public transport links due to early morning calls
