SEN Staff - Autism
We are currently working with a number of Residential Units, SEN and Primary School Clients within East Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire who are now looking to recruit SEN experienced Tutors and TA's for one to one and classroom work with pupils from KS1 to KS4. The schools cater for pupils with Autism so experience of working in this area and using any skills such as Makaton would be hugely advantageous.
The Schools are a mixture of larger, busy and sometimes challenging schools and quieter, smaller schools with a variety of pupils on different levels of the spectrum. Candidates for these positions must be able to provide a recent reference working in either day nurseries or schools working in a similar position and will hold a minimum of a Level Two Teaching Assistant Qualification. The Units are residential and would be working part time in different parts of the day covering shift patterns.
Experience of working and setting work for one student is essential as well as still being able to manage behaviour.
Additional Special Needs Qualifications such as Team Teach would also be beneficial.
