Teaching Assistant


This outstanding school are looking for a Teaching Assistant with primary, Special Educational Needs experience to work with small groups of pupils with a full range of Autistic Spectrum Conditions. This amazing school provide outstanding support for its pupils, encouraging them to continue their development and enjoy school life. You will be working as part of a friendly and inspiring team who are proactive and creative. Experience working within a SEND environment is essential and experience working with ASD is preferred. You will be responsible for engaging pupils and managing behaviour of small groups. Located in east Birmingham, this school is easily accessible from, Minworth, Tile Cross, Small Heath and surrounding areas.

Ideally you will be:

-          A SEN TA or Learning Mentor used to working with children with barriers to learning

-          A confident classroom practitioner able to support lessons in a creative and inspiring manner

-          Used to finding creative and interactive solutions

-          Encouraging participation in lessons

-          Happy to work on a 1-2-1 or small group basis

-          Able to provide support to teaching staff

-          A friendly, professional  and dedicated Teaching Assistant or Learning Mentor

-          Able to provide recent, relevant education references
