Teaching Assistant – Pupil Referral Unit

 Dudley

We are looking for Teaching Assistant to work with a small group of secondary aged boys which would also include some 1-2-1 work.  Your primary brief is to provide support during lessons and enable these young adults to make appropriate progress in lessons.   You may be required to support across the whole of the curriculum and provide some support for offsite studies and visits.   The young adults you will be supporting have been given an additional opportunity to benefit from education in a controlled setting that will enable them to achieve key academic goals.  

 

Ideally you will be:-

 

-          A TA or Learning Mentor used to working with children and young adults with barriers to learning


-          A confident classroom practitioner able to support lessons in a creative and inspiring manner


-          Used to finding creative solutions to challenging behaviour and encouraging participation in lessons


-          Happy to work on a 1-2-1 or small group basis


-          Able to provide support to teaching staff across core subjects


-          A friendly, professional  and dedicated Teaching Assistant or Learning Mentor


-          Able to provide recent, relevant education references


-          Available to start work on the 8th of January
